ABN AMRO StadionSpelen on Tour

Challenge.

Encourage children to discover their talents.

ABN AMRO believes that every child has a talent and should be able to develop it. Unfortunately, there are many children that grow up in an environment, that doesn’t stimulate them to discover those talents or their interests. It is this group that ABN AMRO wanted to reach and help develop the ‘life skills, through which they discover their talents and determine their place in society’.

Due to the Corona measures, ABN AMRO cannot implement the existing success concept of the ABN AMRO StadionSpelen in the traditional way. How can you still offer these activities in a responsible and safe manner without compromising the desired result?

Solution.

With two new initiatives under the name “ABN AMRO StadionSpelen on Tour”, children can still immerse themselves in the world of sports, art and culture. The large numbers of the traditional StadionSpelen have been scaled down to verifiable numbers that are safe and responsible for meeting on location.

The first initiative is the implementation of the concept at the local partner sports association. Various activities are set up in this controlled and facilitated environment. Instead of 800 children who come from multiple schools, there are now “only” 150 children present. These children come from a maximum of two schools to limit travel movements. The presence of the ABN AMRO volunteers, who run and facilitate the event, has also been adjusted from 175 to 14 volunteers.

The second initiative takes place in the schools itself, which is based on a minimal commitment from others. On the one hand to keep the demand at ABN AMRO to a minimum, which results in a limited number of eight volunteers. On the other hand, this has been done to limit the influence on the schools so that the daily routine at the school is not disrupted too much. The organization of the ABN AMRO StadionSpelen will take over the school for a while during this process, offering children of four classes the opportunity to discover and develop their talents.
