How can we increase the visibility of people with a disability and promote positive perception? Where we use the power of professional football to increase the sport participation among the target group.
Solution.
The Bijzondere Eredvisie is an initiative of the Stichting Het Gehandicapte Kind and Skyhigh TV.
To start the project, De Vriendenloterij has given one financial boost. Players United is connected as project partner to the Bijzondere Eredivisie. Our main task is to set up and maintain a sustainable league of Eredivisie Clubs.
With the Bijzondere Eredvisie there is a podium for the ambitious G-soccer players.
Result.
- There is an official Eredivisie, supported by the ECV and KNVB.
- In the first season there are participating 10 paid soccer organisations with an official G-team.
- Per season there are 10 game rounds played.
- From the creation to the start of season 1, a TV program has been made: FC De Helden with Klaas van Kruistem, which has been broadcasted on KRO/ NCRV on NPO1.
