De Aanvoerders.
Challenge.
How to get the football world moving by showing respect and sportiness on and off the field?
Solution.
In our eyes that must come from the football players themselves. We devised a concept ‘ De Aanvoerders’. Former Dutch national team leaders Ruud Gullit, Aron Winter, Ben Wijnstekers and Arthur Numan gave the go-ahead for De Aanvoerders. They called all on their football fans to take responsibility. This raised an alliance between professional and amateur footballers that stand for the power and beauty of football. Both on and off the field. With the organisation of different initiatives through the whole country they stimulate that football players need to take their responsibility. The positive experience of the sport is central here. Everyone can be a supplier; it just means that you have to take your responsibility!

Result.
- More than 33,000 suppliers have now joined De Aanvoerders. The fact that we can communicate directly with a group of football players is unique and valuable.
- It has happened twice at a full paid game round that they stood still for this action. This campaign has had national visibility on TV, radio, print and online.
- Even Oranje, under conduct by captain Robin van Persie and the ex-internationals, contributed to the campaign and various activities.
- We organized an ‘Aanvoerdersraad’ (council) at 11 professional clubs throughout the country, in which more than 400 leaders from amateur football participated.
- There have been hundreds of ideas submitted online and at the Councils from all over the country. From this, in the presence of Minister Opstelten, the 4 “ Golden Rules” were chosen.
