ESPN and Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet have signed a partnership for the 2020-2021 season. The goal of the partnership is to add a unique sports experience to a day of shopping at Batavia Stad. How to kick off this partnership successfully?

Solution.

Commissioned by ESPN we developed the concept of the ESPN Fanday. On this day Batavia Stad was transformed into one big ESPN experience. Throughout the day various sports activities were organised for young and old. From a FIFA pop-up store and QR hunt, to press conferences with Jan Joost van Gangelen, Fresia Cousiño Arias, Hans Kraay jr. and Milan van Dongen.

Result.

The ESPN Fanday was a great start of the cooperation between ESPN and Batavia Stad. Besides many normal shopping centre visitors, Batavia Stad also reached a new audience with the visitors who came especially for the Fanday.
