Challenge.

As the main sponsor of the Dutch national team, one of ING’s objectives is to bring the Dutch national team closer to the fans. However, Corona limited the options for physical events. How do you bring football fans closer to the Dutch team around EURO2020 in an innovative way?

Solution.

By developing a VR-experience ING customers can literally step into the world of the Dutch national team. During the preparations in May 2021 on the campus in Zeist, 360-degree cameras were used. This gives ING customers a unique glimpse of how the Dutch team is preparing for EURO2020. Relations can see where the players sleep, where they relax and how they train. You have probably never been this close to the Dutch national team!

Result.

ING customers were able to request a pair of VR goggles online. The VR goggles were sent to their homes in a letterbox package. After which the glasses could be put on and the Dutch national team could be experienced up close! In total 40,000 VR glasses were sent out to both business relations and internal ING staff.
